YOUTUBE LINKS

This YouTube playlist contains all of the links included in the book needed for the Schemes of Work for Years 7-9 (age 11-14)

They have been designed to highlight the techniques of the art form, as well as the significant musical developments across the decades.

Whilst is generally a better idea to use lyric videos, you may sometimes feel there would be a contextual benefit for the students to see the visual contrast in realistic representation, compared to today's industry videos.

These playlists will be continually updated so please feel free to suggest recommendations via email.

Year 9 addendum*

Due to the added maturity of year 9 students and the nature of political and social discourse contained within some of the lyrics, teachers must check the book for advisory timestamps to end the video. Eg. 'Stop at 1.10'.

However, when you watch the video before delivering a lesson, you may decide that your students are mature enough to show them the entire content.

One thing we know is, that the availability of technology for young people is unprecedented in this day and age!
